As I sit here on my plush couch in the middle of the night, I’m simply reflecting on all of the occurrences in 2015. From exciting vacations to big investments and a new living space, it’s been one heck of a ride.
The past few days were filled with nothing but relaxation. I’ve been waiting for this trip to California since my last little adventure to San Fran in May. I used my minimalistic packing skills and managed to get EVERYTHING tucked away into one small carryon duffle bag, with electronics and such in my personal bag. But why did it still feel like 100 pounds!? My shoulders got a work out, that’s for sure. After 14 hours spent on a plane and 4 nights lodged right off the boardwalk strip in southern California, I’ve returned to the mitten’s sub-par temperatures. Is it too soon to say that I already miss the sandy beaches and fresh ocean water?
Earlier this month, my boyfriend and I took a spontaneous trip to the Windy City for the Fourth of July weekend! It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been there… if I can recall correctly, the last time was for Lollapalooza. This 3-day trip was especially exciting – old friends, new friends, great food and fabulous company! I’m still overwhelmed by the wonderful hospitality we received while out there. I was even impressed with my packing skills!
Last month, my boyfriend and I took a day trip to the west side of Michigan: Saugatuck. We did a little beaching, hiking, exploring and eating! What a beautiful site to see – here are a few snapshots from my adventures.
Around this time last month month, I was preparing my bags (and myself) for a trip to the west side of the country: California — San Francisco to be exact! Although my trip started off a little rocky, it was only uphill from there. I did a little exploring, eating, hiking, shopping and a whole lot of sightseeing. If you aren’t following me on Instagram, you may have missed out on my adventure… here are a few snapshots from my trip!
