Flannel Season

Anytime I throw on a flannel, I feel like I should be at jammin’ away with Luke or Kenny, or picking pumpkins and apples at the cider mill! Country music and fall festivities are two of my favorites things so it isn’t a bad feeling at all. I’m so excited for fall and the scents, events and styles that come along with it. And to think, it’s here in just a few short weeks! Carefully crafted combinations with trends from the here and now, and other eras whether past or future, are my absolute favorite! I mean, who doesn’t love knee high boots and the essential plaid shirt?

Keepin’ It Cool In My Calvins

For the longest time, I’ve been searching just about everywhere for the classic Calvin Klein Jeans logo tee. I even checked out thrift shops and eBay… but no luck! One day as I was scrolling through my Instagram feed, I saw Urban Outfitters showcase the comeback of the classic Calvin tee. Leave it to UO to bring back vintage. Literally – without even having to think about it – I hopped on and pre-ordered my purchase! Good thing I did, though… I don’t even see that it is available anymore! Now, I can finally keep it cool in my Calvins, worry free.

Polka Dots & Flirty Feels

Let me just start by saying how obsessed I am with this skirt – and how thankful I am for there to be an occasion for me to break it out! This is totally my ‘Carrie Bradshaw’ skirt, as mentioned before. With a dash of sass and a whole lot of flirty feels, I’d say this is one of my favorite looks.

Farewell To A One Track Mind

As the flowers begin to bloom and the smell of spring fills the air – it’s a sure tell sign that we are transitioning seasons and our wardrobes. So, how do you balance modern day fashion with your favorites from the past? First, say farewell to a one track mind and incorporate the old with the new! Then, say hello to those favorites, whether they are bodysuits or high-rise jeans. My fashion motto, and you can quote me right now: Good style never dies — it just reinvents itself along the way. So, all aboard the style train. Lace up those booties and grab your hat. Next stop: fashion freedom.
